A weeks coupé insurance within Spain - who will cover me?
Popping to Spain for a week and want to drive my dads car which is spanish registered and currently uninsured/ garaged.
Need to get cover... will any companies cover me? Mapfre may for 3 months minimum. Linea Directa will lone do 12 months!

You're probably better off getting your dad to insure the car contained by Spain. Very few insurance companies in the UK will cover you on someone else's car contained by a foreign country. There are probably countless companies on Spain who are happy to give short residence insurance.
I had the same problem - needed insurance simply to get the car out of England. Ended up have to go through an insurance broker who gave me 1 weeks cover for lb40, which allowed me to drive surrounded by any EU country.
Look up brokers in your area (www.bellow.co.uk) and they should be able to give you cover straight away, and you can pick up your card the same day, or they can post it to you.
