Allstate saloon insurance providing rental cars for coincidence?
My girlfriend was in an stroke of luck on Friday where a girl made an illegal moved out hand turn out of a bank and my girlfriend be going straight on the road and they collided. Now the police report has it down as the other girls idiosyncrasy but when we call her insurance company they told us all they do is reimburse you. What if you don’t' enjoy the money to rent a car or even a credit card? Is there anything that I could do that by imperative make them pay? I live surrounded by New York (Long Island). Allstate was not helpful at adjectives. Also you can not drive with the air lots deployed but is it illegal to drive the car if you have the air bags removed and not replaced but.

Allstate has not finished their investigation of the coincidence. The adjusters will use the police report but the police do not determine who is at fault for an accident, they adjuster do. Allstate is not going to give an account you they will pay for a rental car until their investigation of the coincidence is complete. See if your girlfriend has that coverage on her own insurance policy. They would pay for a rental. Allstate does not have need of to be helpful to your girlfriend, she is not one of their customers. Also, you may want to call your own insurance agent and find out in the order of state laws. Some states have comparative negligence law where every driver is assigned a percentage of the blame in the coincidence. Source(s): Agent 25 years
Now im not trained in the laws of NY, but for the states that I am trained contained by. It is always common for the insurance company of the party at fault to tell the other being that if they get in an calamity, and need a rental, and if you get one. Pay for it up front, and maintain the receipt for there adj to review for reimbursement. They usally do this until they make conversation with there insured, and review adjectives the facts. To determine that there insured is 100% liable. If its a case where on earth there able to determine that in that insured is at fault right away, then they should know how to set u up with a rental auth. Insurance companies have no read aloud in what rental companies require for a deposit, and most rental companies want a cred card for a deposit on the veh, which would be refundable when veh is returned. Insurance companies will pay the actual veh,and taxes when they dispense the auth, or if they reimburse you, but not for deposit. Some rental companies will allow you to use a debit card for the deposit, but then they usally will want around like1-250 deposit. Some run credit checks. Source(s): claims adj
In my experience the insurance companies have always basically reimbursed me. Sorry. But then, I was the one at glitch, so seems to me if she's not at fault they would be more accomodating. But to be precise the way it normally go, reimbursement.
