Car Insurance - "Use but not drive"?

If a car insurance policy covers anyone you allow to "use but not drive" the car, what does this be going to?

As in how can you "use" a car lacking driving it?
Answers:
The same way I used it when my Ex threw me out- bed in the front, wardrobe within the boot
Charlene is correct, if you're a passenger, or the vehicle is being used to collect your shopping or any errand for you, then you are lawfully using the vehicle, whether you're in it or not. That's why, when a driver for a company gets fined for driving a inexact company vehicle, the company also gets fined for 'using' it.
i actually knew someone who have this on his policy....... it insures your car against theft and vandalize, but does not allow you to drive it.......... useful if you are leaving the vehicle on a driveway (for example) while travelling abroad for a length of time, or if you were going to be hospitalized and know you wouldnt be (medically) allowed to drive for a couple of months.
It is a LOT cheaper than driving insurance and may well be worth while if you have an expensive vehicle
iv never heard of that before. usually you can ether drive your car and others cars or you can only drive your own coup¨¦.
