Short-term saloon insurance contained by California? Advice needed!?
I am going to rent a car in California for 6 weeks. I don't own a saloon of my own, so I don't have any normal car-insurance policy of my own. I do hold a Visa gold-card, that covers collision damage waiver; but I wouldn't want to be without liability etc.
Question: Is within any better deal I can get than paying the $10-$15 per sunshine to the car rental company? Any ideas would be thoroughly welcome.

Unfortunately insurance companies will not sell you a policy unless you own the sports car. I am not up on California law but try contacting an independant insurance agent that writes for all kind of companies. Ask them if you can buy a 6 month comp and collision policy on a rented/leased car. That might do it for you.
