Friend hit my sports car and have no insurance?
My friend hit my Audi wagon with her truck yesterday. I enjoy insurance but she doesn't. In fact I found out she actually have a suspended license. She has zero money and I don't know what to do. If I report the quirk then she WILL get contained by trouble. But I have to get my sports car fixed - it hasn't sounded right (not to mention what it looks like now) since the impact. She said she could give me $500 to cover my deductible. But how am I supposed to report this to my insurance?? I don't know what to do. serve please.
Answers:
Report the accident to your insurance company. If she is anything of a friend she will deduce you need to get your vehicle repaired.
Your insurance company will cover the repairs smaller number your deductible. She will then be required to pay your insurance company vertebrae. Source(s): Claims 6 yrs
By law you involve to inform your insurance company even if you do not intend to claim from them. If you do this and you give your friends name later as they don't have insurance the insurance company will claim the money directly from them.
There's no easy approach to say it plus if the insurance company get involved it could ruin the relationship between you to. It's probably best to sort it out between you.
Well, I guess there's a reason she's had her license suspended.
If you put this through your insurance, you any have to give her information, or pretend and say you don't know who did it. If you lie, you'll ALSO be required to folder a police report, saying the same (which would be criminal, file a false police report).
If you tell them it was her, they'll dance after her for repayment to fix your car. And rightly so.
Friends don't ask friends to commit crimes. You need to administer the HONEST report. And for God's sake, don't get in the coup¨¦ with her driving. Source(s): agent, 21+ years
You should report it to your insurance company if you want to receive your car fixed. They will charge you the deductible and then move about after your friend. If they collect from her, your deductible will be returned. And before you ask....No, you cannot tell your insurance co. not to shift after your friend. They will be paying out to have your car fixed and they will want their money hindmost. Maybe she will now be responsible and buy some insurance
Well you hold no choice except to report it to your insurance- they aren't the police- they wont get your friend "in trouble"
HOWEVER- once they compensate your damages minus your deductible- they will go after her to recover ALL the money associated next to this loss. That is their legal right- she was at fault- she must recompense for the damages.
She can likely set up a payment plan beside them to pay for it over time. But you know what- she deserves i hope she learned a lesson this could enjoy been way worse.
