Car dealership never faxed info to the insurance company. Can anything lawfully be done?

I got in an misfortune in the car and the insurance company said the dealership never faxed the info and it be ultimately my responsibility to make sure it had insurance so is in that anything i can do or am i just screwed with a wrecked motor?

You should have driven straight from the dealership - to your insurance office - chock-a-block out any paperwork and paid any additional premium. You did not do that.

Depends on the time difference between purchasing the motor, and the accident. In Utah, they are required to give you automatic 4 days full coverage and after extend liability for another 10 days. in arkansas--where i work--it doesn't matter if a dealership call and gives us the information for a car...the insured still have to call and tell us to make the addition of it. and then we still need their signature to prove that they required it added.
