"If you fine-tuning vehicle insurance companies, can you database a claim on an antediluvian misfortune near the trial company?

This was an accident where on earth I accidentally scraped a mailbox, putting an indention into the side of my car...it is about a $1,500 repair; my weak insurance had a $500 deductible, but I never filed-and now I'm wanting to silver companies. For lack of a better term, is this resembling having a pre-existing condition with medical insurance?

Even if you don't own an active policy with them immediately, as long as your policy was in force at the time of the incident, they'll still cover it. Are you kidding? No. Insurance doesn't retroactively cover accidents.
You can report a claim with the old company to own the "indentation" fixed. You cannot file a claim with the brand new company to have old disfavour repaired. Your new company will not pay to fix destroy that happened while another company had it insured
