Don't enjoy motor insurance and be hit by some one? Will their insurance reward for it? I live within California?
I live in california and some one hit me. My insurance was not renewed so I am currently uninsured. Will the other folks insurance pay for the damages to my car. They run into the back of my car. And their insurance have started calling me up. Will they cover the damages?
Answers:
They will pay for your actual damages but not for any nonspecific damages (pain and suffering, emotional distress, etc). California passed proposition 213 in 1996 which say an uninsured motorist can not sue an insured driver for general damages even if the insured driver was at mistake. Congratulations on breaking the imperative by driving without insurance in CA. As far as them paying for your damages, it depends on how much uninsured motorist coverage the other gala has on their plan and if they were at bad habit. I think. Or maybe that simply goes to cover damages to their property done by an uninsured...It's one of the two.
If you did not have auto insurance the cops should enjoy hauled your *** off to detention centre no matter who was at knock.
If you have a police report showing them as guilty, then they should be paying for the damages. I would recommend getting insurance pronto to save from getting into a future legal ensnare.
