All States including Alaska and Hawaii require at tiniest liability insurance.
There is one company that is very cheap if you are concerned in the order of the HIGH cost of insurance.

All 50 states require some liability insurance, but in most the minimum limits are little moe than a joke--as low as $500 (yes, $500!) on Ohio. That wouldn't fire up to cover most crashes today. Increasing your limits to more practical amounts is generally pretty cheap. There's an excellent page that tell you what you need to know:
