Want to buy a different car- modify insurance?

I'm 18 female and have have a license for 6 months if its any help.
I have a 1.1 litre peugeot 206, insured beside Yes insurance which cost me around lb1013 in total (quoted and bought through confused.com). I have have this policy and that car since march.

Now I want to buy a 1.6 litre Ford Focus, the quote on this is lb1470 when I shift through confused.com and look at the quote from Yes insurance.

If I were to ring up the insurance company and tell them give or take a few the car change, would I be expected to foot the difference between the two quotes?
Or less/more? considering I have had the quote for a few months presently and have 6 months no claims bonus.
I could insure the car on another quote from another company for lb1100, but this would be determined cancelling my other policy, losing that money and having to wage for a whole new policy...?

thankfulness.

your best bet is to ring your insurance provider, and see. you can take 100% accurate answers, along with other questions you might ruminate up before then. I would voice your expected to pay the difference. If you went to a shop to buy potatoes, and they used to cost lb1 but go up to lb1.50 you'd have to pay the difference surrounded by the price? im going to be honest and say i dont know too much about individual companies...

but I'm sure it be direct line that you can get cheaper insurance by putting yourself as the owner of the vehicle and your daughter as the main driver.

I was still building no claims and I have the oppertunity to carry my old ones over. - I don't know if thats help. Source(s): Just got myself a new sports car but did that as I would be fully comp under my dads name.

In my travels through cyberspace, I have notice an increasing number of websites and blogs discussing various forms of Insurance and registration related to cars... Car insurance is essentially insurance that covers you, your passengers, and your vehicle in case of an fluke. Most states require that car owners carry liability coverage surrounded by their car insurance policy. Liability insurance covers expenses incurred for damaging another vehicle beside your own when you are at fault. This means that if you are surrounded by a vehicular-->accident and your car cause the damage, then the liability piece of your saloon insurance will cover the damages according to the terms of your policy.
What some people don`t realise is, that where in that is a big difference quotes, there could be a big difference in cover, for example, the cheaper may not cover Windscreen.
OK you are govern by what you can afford, but worth bearing it in mind.
Phone the company and advise them you are changing vehicle. They will quote you an secondary premium based on the difference between the covers but only for the days not here. E.g. if the 1470 - 1013 = 457 but you may only have 6 months disappeared so ... 457 x (182/365)= lb227.87. They will amend your monthly premium if you pay that way.
They may be a tad more expensive on this saloon than others but do not forget you are 6 months toward getting your first years no claims.
