We are buying a 1995 mobile home (14X70). Does anyone hold any thought how much insurance would be within Alabama?
Answers: I don't recall how much my mom's insurance was, she passed away ultimate spring, here in California. But the insurance was pretty cheap.
BUT if you ever go, do NOT let a Mobile Home "broker" sell your home for you. In California, if it's on a spot of manor you rent, you can sell it like a sports car, not a house! I did that and only paid $35 to the "DMV" of Mobile Homes (a special bureau for them) . A broker in the area looked-for to charge me an $8000 flat fee, regardless of how much I sold it for! A realtor would have merely charged 3-6% which would still have been single a fraction of this rip-off person.
Bottom line - Don't tolerate anyone rip you off. Here in California, Mobile Homes are virtually indistinguishable as a car. The yearly fees be very cheap and the insurance was pretty cheap too. But they are not made as powerfully as a house so I'd get really good coverage!
