What if we fixed the PUBLIC OPTION to merely those who cannot afford or qualify to buy HEALTHCARE insurance?
Wouldn't it make sense to limit the federal liability, and agree to the system that is working keep working?
Why disrupt middle class parents who are already buying their own healthcare and are content with what they have----isn't it too dangerous for the governing body to induce employers to drop healthcare options they provide their workforce by providing a fixed cost tax subsideized option? Won't most middle class parents lose the insurance they hold and they like and be forced on to an expanded version of Medicaid i.e. likely to offer unpardonable benefits?
Why are they trying to expand the failure of Medicaid to the middle class?
Answers:

that was tried surrounded by Hawaii in i believe 2005, the program was insolvent inwardly 7 months of inception and was shut down by orders of the Governor.
I would not enjoy any problem with a public option for the poor or uninsured, oh keep on, we basically have that already. You can waddle into any public hospital and they must treat you whether you are insured or not and regardless of your ability to pay or not. By the passageway, even illegal immigrants obtain this service for free and they are all making tax free money beside the jobs they hold. So, maybe the portion of what the management pays to these hospitals is a large reason why medicare or our robustness system is going broke now. So I guess putting all Americans on simply the same system would really cost a fortune.
