I bought 50 yr shingles 2 yrs ago. the weave blew several past its sell-by date. Insurance requirements to replace the shingles?

My point is if the shingles have a 50 yr warranty, and the contractor guarantees labor for 20 yrs, Why wouldn't the insurance make the contractor and the shingle company replace the roof?
Answers:
the company that made the guarantee should income
Why would you replace the whole roof when you can be made whole by replacing the shingles that blew stale? That''s like replacing the entire car because you hit a curb and flattened a tire.
Steve D took the words out of my mouth. Insurance is designed to achieve you back to where you be prior to the claim or damage.

If you are in a fender bender and you scrape your number you don't get a brand new sports car because you have a warranty in place. That's ludicrous.

I also reckon you are confusing a 'warranty' with 'insurance'.

1. The 50 year warranty covers the product (the shingles) and their intended use. They are manufactured to last 50 years. For example if your roof leak because of a manufacturing defect this is where on earth this warranty comes into play.

2. The contractor warrants their work for 20 years meaning that if they incorrectly install the shingles they will come fix it for free (or anything the warranty guarantees).

Please do not confuse these 2 items with insurance coverage. Insurance covers peril like wind and fire. If those covered peril damage your roof then insurance covers the extent of damages. If simply a few shingles are damaged then merely a few shingles will be replaced or repaired.
