Where can I buy insurance for my high-powered rocket?

I am in the due diligence stage of an all-volunteer attempt to win the N-Prize (a contest to launch a tiny satellite into low Earth orbit). I have no problem near the DOT/FAA paperwork requirements, but I'm not sure where our engineer/team leader can buy the required insurance. We're doing everything we can to minimize liability so we aren't going to entail more than a few hundred thousand dollars of coverage.

In short, what companies sell rocket insurance?
Answers:
umm..... none. Commercial insurance doesn't cover rockets. If you are truly doing this for the Nobel prize you should have better resources than InsuranceQuotesFAQ.com.
Wow, haven't heard that one before! Good luck on your endeavors.

There is no "rocket insurance". You're going to stipulation to find a surplus carrier for this. Brace yourself, it's going to be very, particularly expensive. I would start by finding a carrier that deals beside liabilities associated with explosive and/or volatile materials. I'd do a google investigate for "surplus insurance" and your state.
