That $275.00 will not come close to buying you a wheel chair if you enjoy permanent damage.
They feel you will settle for that $275.00,you can legally go after them for plentiful thousands and they know it.

Avoid hiring a lawyer at adjectives costs. A lot of bozos here always scream going on for how insurance companies are nothing but crooks and they don't care nearly you and all they think roughly is money, blah, blah, blah..... Well let me tell you something going on for LAWYERS -- they consider their clients nothing more than cockroaches and will say and do anything for money. They lie back, they won't return phone calls, they will avoid you at all costs until hours in the past your court date then jump contained by and 'settle' with the insurance company for peanuts over their original set aside. That way they get 33% of your settlement money and you procure the shaft. $275 is a really low-ball offer but consider that is solely an OFFER. If you keep your cool and attempt to work with them vs against them you will probably know how to come to a fair settlement. Remember, when you say the 'L' word to the insurer afterwards it's game over. They will refer the file to their lawful dept. where they have an army of attorneys that will budge to war. Also remember that being 'hurt' is profusely different from being 'injuried'. Source(s): Old claims dawg
$275? Absolutely not. I know people contained by this world are always so quick to sue, but if what you vote is true, then you have a legimate defence to get more. There are plenty of lawyers out in that who won't charge you unless you win your case (then they usually take 30%).
Don't accept the money, don't sign any documentation, don't do anything with out legitimate counsel present. They're so ready to pay bills and paw out pennies, they're not looking out for your future medical procedures, if any. They're just in position to get this over with because you and your sports car are insignificant compared to their client. And might find a way to flip the script on you dude. Get personal injury conusel and make sure they payment your attorneys' fees, so you don't have to.
I would not clutch it for that.
1) you do not need a legal representative right away
2) It is too early to even think going on for settling now. Most ethical insurers and lawyers won't settle for at lowest possible 6 months after an accident. You could be more seriously injured than you think, and some things don't appear until then. Hopefully you've had xrays.
3) If the other insurer is trying to settle for pain and suffering for $275, they're in recent times trying to get rid of you early.
4) Wait a few months to see how you grain. You'll likely have have more of a medical paper trail to present to the insurer. Then, you can present a case to them, and NEGOTIATE.
5) If you can settle next to the insurer directly, you will likely make around equal amount of money anyway, and hot have to pay a legal representative a 30%+++ fee from any settlement. And, speaking from experience, as an adjuster, I'd much rather concordat directly with a claimant and give them more money than contract with a lawyer.
6) If dialogue are not going well, and you've done all you can, afterwards go see a laywer...or...a paralegal. But either channel, since it sounds like this is just soft tissue, and no fractures, etc, don't step to a high profile lawyer. You may be capable of get the same results next to some young, cheaper lawyer.
moral luck. Source(s): Bodily injury insurance adjuster & former broker.
I would advise you to do three things!!
1. Get a lawyer 2. Get a advocate 3. Get a Lawyer
Hope you feel better soon!
If you're not out for money and think what they are offering is fair next take it. But you can easily attain $500-$750 for pain and suffering. Just tell them the truth....soft tissue injuries short treatment resolve on their own in 6-8 weeks. $275 is not enough for pain& discomfort for that time spell.
I WOULD NOT SETTLE FOR 275! IS THAT ALL YOU ARE WORTH.
I WOULD CONTINUE TO SEE YOUR DOCTOR, AND GET A LAWYER!
i definatly would not filch 275 for pain and suffering. you can easily acquire way more for that. its good they are paying for the ER and meds and stuff, but win what you can, without spending money on a lawyer.
You definitely need to win a lawyer. Do not settle for that amount. As hard as you be hit, you may have adverse effects from this accident for the rest of your duration. All the insurance company wants to do is close the claim and be done with it so that you're not competent to come back in the adjectives and receive any more $. Call a lawyer!
