Do you work surrounded by auto and property insurance, agent or sub-producer?
How long? First choice? Do you like it? Why? Hate it? Why?
Do you wish you have done something else, or do you have a good go doing this?
Answers:
Well this is my first year contained by P/C Broker in Puerto Rico. I worked as Senior Commercial Lines Underwriter with oodles MGA's about 14 yrs.
I love this job when you hold the satisfation to help this agent to sell his or her proposal. Source(s): Insurance Broker (Puerto Rico)
roughly speaking 19 yrs ago I did for about 4 yrs....first as an agent then as a sub producer. I like it and did well, but quit to start a family.
Nop. I'm just don't want to..
I've newly recently starting working at an insurance company, and while it's not always fun to concord with customers who don't like the rates, the work itself isn't desperate. Sitting at a desk all day five days a week is a bit tedious, however. It is not my first choice as a career, this is lately a job while I'm going to college. It's not bad money though, and you don't inevitability any schooling, just knowledge of computers, and obviously the license to sell insurance.
I've been doing this for 20+ years, and I LOVE property casualty. It's my first choice - I have a college amount in something else, and was in actual fact working on my Master's when I took this day job contained by insurance, and LOVED it. I have been doing insurance for 22 years, and working as an agent for 21.
I love the citizens contact, the need for creativity, the constantly changing rules, the multitasking, etc. The merely thing I really don't like is file (lol, not that *I've* done it in years) - and with the advent of transactional file, paper is in the process of going by the wayside, anyway.
Many, frequent people I know, though, don't like it at adjectives - it's just that the money is good, and they don't enjoy other options. I've always have other options, I just choose insurance. When I've have to move (for hubby), I've had NO problem finding a job surrounded by a new area. So that's a bonus, too. Some industries are regional - insurance is everywhere. Source(s): agent, 21+ years
