About auto insurance?

I got into a wreck and totalled my car i be the only car involved and no mischief to anyone except me were done, i am wanting to know if anyone knows if my insurance will travel up and how much will it go up?
Answers:
Yes, it will probably progress up. How much depends on your insurance company and policy, how old you are, prior driving record (citations, accident, etc.) and even how long you have been insured near your current company. I would advise calling your agent and talking to them almost it.
Yes, your premium will turn up. As you stated, your car was the solely one involved, so there is nobody else that could possibly be at fault.

How much your premium will be in motion up all depends on your policy's contract language. Some companies increase the premium by a flat dollar amount, while others increase the premium by a percentage amount.

For example, your policy may state that adjectives chargeable accidents will result in a $400 per year surcharge for three years. Or it may influence that all chargeable accidents will result within a 15% premium surcharge for the next three years.

Keep in mind that if you own other activity (insurance-speak for tickets and accidents) on your record, the surcharge could be even high, or the accident could result in your policy self non-renewed.

Like other people have said, articulate to your agent to see what effect the accident will have on your premium. If he or she say they don't know, keep pushing them. They can find out pretty easily.

One ultimate thing, which you did not ask, but I'll reply to anyways: Don't try to go to a alien company after a recent accident. Any premium they give for duplicate coverage will be more expensive than your current company. The new company does not want to "buy" a problem. I know that sounds harsh, but that's how it works. Well, it depends on your current automobile policy. If you have open up a claim on your auto policy, then most likely, you will incur a surcharge for an at-fault happenstance.

But if you have Allstate Insurance, you might have a coverage call accident forgiveness coverage, which means you will not be surcharged for an at breakdown accident.

If it goes up, you are probably looking at a $100-$200 increase every 6 months. Source(s): I am an Allstate Insurance agent.
If the insurance is paying out, your rates will go up. Plain and simple. You wrecked by yourself, therefore, you are at imperfection, and therefore your insurance handles it, and afterwards your rates go up.

I can't say how much lacking actually reviewing your policy. Insurance rates are dependent on several factors. Source(s): I work contained by insurance
