3 points on journal... auto and moto insurance needed?
I have 3 points on record... they fall down off in 10 months.
1 at bad habit accident and 1 speeding ticket in 2004.
i am 21 years old-fashioned. not a student.
Looking for best insurance company to fit my needs... any brokers gimmie some advice?
Answers:
Two violation, and you're 21. Sorry, unless your credit score is over 700 (not likely at 21), you're going to be stuck next to a high risk carrier close to Tico or Progressive.
As to your other question, yes, all insurance companies platform their rates on credit scores. Companies like Progressive and Leaders don't even gain people under 22, as they usually hold so little credit history it doesn't matter - they just throw them contained by the most expensive rating tier.
When you are getting your quotes, they should be disclosing that rating can be affected by credit score.
The best entity you can do is shop around. Try getting quotes online: www.statefarm.com , www.allstate.com , www.aigauto.com . Insurance is going to be high, you are 21 years old and that alone is a red flag for insurance companies. Plus, insurance is better for a man then a woman (usually). Your rates will go down eventually but for very soon they are going to be high where ever you shift. Sorry to have to ruin your day.
Your most potential are going to need to go beside Progressive Insurance for one year, after that switch to another company as you will get better rates at that time. Source(s): I work in the Insurance Industry
