Geico or Progressive Insurance Auto Insurance?

Neither. call a local independent agent and attain some quotes. people tend to gravitate towards names they hold heard, but in sincerity some of the companies you may never have heard of can be the best as far as service and claims handeling, which is what you want! Of the two, Progressive is a STRONGER company and pay their claims well. In most principal cities, the have Concierge service - one stop for repair, car rental, etc.

They also enjoy the Emergency Response Vehicles that will sometimes beat the police to accident scene - evaluate the claim, adjust the claims and give the injured parties a check! I don't cogitate there are many other companies out nearby that will do THAT!

I had a client with Progressive that rolled his truck on Monday, call us on Tuesday - not even knowing WHERE his wrecked truck was. WE located it with the back of Highway Patrol and called in the claim on Tuesday afternoon. Progressive worked the claim on Wednesday and the client be in my office on Thursday within a NEW truck!

Progressive claims service IS "second to none" and THAT is what you buy insurance for.

Progressive has always treated us really resourcefully. The rates are pretty comparable.

GEICO have about 25,000+ family switch to them every year, but they never have more than 5 more policies than they did the year before. There have to be something that is causing that abundant people to switch Source(s): Insurance Agent
Between those two, and only those two, I'd choose Progressive for a mixture of reasons, not the least of which would be Geico's commercials which are attempts at humor I'm sure, but mostly done in bad weakness.

As a towing company that pays out a lot yearly within insurance, and having zero claims, I resent the commercial "The tow truck the police call did more damage than the accident..." and impose sanctions to tow for Geico any longer.
