Is this allowed beside auto insurance?
If my uncle bought me a car, and the car and registration is beneath his name, can the insurance be under a short time ago mine or does it have to be under both?
Answers:
This is called "insurable interest". The owner of the car MUST be name on the policy. So you both need to be on the policy. Source(s): Insurance Agent
If he is the registered owner and the one underneath the insurance just make sure that on the insurance policy that you are down as an additional driver or else if you win in a wreck he will be held liable so just add on ure self in the additional driver booth
Nate W is wrong. There is no regulation, that says in directive to insure a vehicle, that the vehicle has to be registered to to the person insuring the vehicle. I own been insuring and paying for insurance for vehicles, registered to my Bro-in-law and driven by me and my wife for 25 years
it will have to be underneath him but you can be listed as a driver. Source(s): get a free auto insurance quote here...
