A cross-question to auto insurance agents...?

I park my car in my condo's parking garage beside deeded/assigned spaces. The guy who parks next to me dinged my car numerous times getting in/out of his vehicle. He admit fault and filed a claim w/ his insurance company. The adjuster from his company newly came today and agrees that all the harmed on my vehicle was their clients fault and found 25 seperate dings that want to be repaired.

I took my car to Maaco and got an estimate and they are articulate $2,300. However, I have a feeling my neighbor's insurance company is going to try and cut corners while have my vehicle repaired saying they can "patch" most of the dents without repainting the entire coup¨¦, whereas, Maaco says they have to pilfer the car apart, fix it, and repaint it.

If his insurance company does try and cut corners, how should I proceed? Can I get my insurance agent to argue on my behalf? How does a situation similar to this usually work? Thanks

Twenty five dings? On ONE panel?? Gimmie a break -- near is no way possible that the other person dinged and dented your motor along the entire length. Here's a news flash: Maaco is the crappiest collision repairer in the world. Of course they are relating you it needs to be painted all over -- it's the merely way THEY can match paint. Ask around for some name of QUALITY collision repairers near you. Despite what most people focus automotive paint can be matched almost perfectly and since you are driving a four year old vehicle the paint finish si also four years feeble so you are not entitled to a complete refinish. If you still think you're self ripped off just cartridge some plywood onto your doors for God's sake.

For automobile insurance the obvious way to seize a good quote is do a rate comparison on auto policies. Make sure that you choose similar options near the same deductibles, car type, closure code, etc so that all options are a accurate comparison.

What I always recommend is an online comparison quote at http://www.InsureAutoNow.info since they have big baptize insurers and can give several quotes on car insurance polices.
Of course Maaco is going to tell you that you need your intact car repainted. Maaco is in the business of making money. Insurance companies are contained by the business of paying what their insured is legally liable for.

If the insurance company writes an estimate for repairs, they will provide you with a shop contained by your area that can repair the vehicle for that amount. The insurance company is not going to pay to own your entire car repainted. And more than likely, the estimate will be written for PDR (paintless dent removal) where on earth the shop basically pops the dents out.

If you are unhappy w/ the estimate from this individuals company, you could file a claim w/ your carrier. Things to hold in mind though,
1. If there are 25 dents, you will hold to make 25 claims, each one subject to a deductible.
2. Pretty sure your company and the other company will own similar estimates.
3. Your company is also NOT going to have your entire car repainted.

Probably not the answer you needed to hear, but its the truth Source(s): Claims 6 yrs
