How does auto insurance co.settle beside injured passenger?
What is the third party? How to get my hospital bills rewarded? Will I have
to get a Lawyer?
Answers:
You are ( the Insured) is the First Party, The Insurance Company is the Second Party, and the Claimant is the third Party.
The Liability factor of the policy pays only the Third Party, if it is determined that Insured is at fault or lax.
Medical part of the auto policy pays anyone(including the insured) who get hurt regardless who is at imperfection, but up to the policy limits.
If you are the insured, and you get hurt because of your own slate,
Your medical insurance will cover you.
The only time you need an attorney,if you are the Claimant and
you perceive the Insurance Company doesn't pay the claim properly.
Learner Source(s): I am an Insurance Agent
If you are an injured passenger, it's a very pious idea to get a legal representative. The insurance company is not your friend and will try to get you to settle for as little money as possible.
