I have an auto disaster and realize my insurance have expired?
the accident was my blame but the man that i hit had little to no damage to his truck as i hit his tow roll. then about 8 months ago i received a phone call upon from a collection agency telling me that if i didnt pay the amount due (which be well over 6,000) i was going to lose my license. I started making payments of 100.00 a month, but they would never supply me beside any receipts for his damage saying that they bought the debt and didnt hold any receipts. My hours have been cut at work and Im have a hard time making the payments every month. Every month i get a threatening call for from this collection agency threatening me with court and losing my license. Im a single mom and I really need some give support to.

1. Stop paying the collection agency until they provide written validation of the debt. It is illegal for a collection agency that purchases a debt to make any further attempt to collect after you request written validation until they hold provided it.
2. Never, ever, under any circumstances deal beside any collection agency by telephone. The only exception is that if you do not know their address and inevitability it, you may have to, as an absolute closing resort, use the telephone to ask for their address. Do everything else, without any other exceptions whatsoever, by communication.
3. Paying will not keep your license from being suspended. If you drove short a license, your license can be suspended just for driving without a license, even if you settle for the accident damage, and even if you do not hold an accident.
4. I am unaware of any shield of a collection agency telling the truth about anything on the cell phone. Although there is a first time for everything, the fact that this collection agency say that your license will be suspended makes me much LESS inclined to believe that your license is in jeopardy.
You have no insurance so you are responsible for paying the cost. I think it is a little fishy that you be never contacted regarding this payment formerly it went into collections. I would clarify this with your insurance company and see if they can capture to the bottom of this. I would not attempt to handle this alone.
You have the right to see the claims paperwork as to how they determined $6,000 be the cost.
