21st Century Auto insurance quiz?
So my policy went up without me even anyone notified and of course my card be on file. When I noticed they be taking alot more money out I called and found out the prices increased even when there be another plan that I could have had at indistinguishable price! I cancelled the plan and they told me I would have to pay for the 4 days that I have insurance and they'd refund the rest of the money for the month. Well I found out they took $70 for just four days! I call and they tried saying it was for the policy yada yada yada but they really didn't take in that I had already paid previous months nor did they want to put a commissioner on the phone. What can I do? Can I speak to my bank about this unauthorized charge? Thanks. I a short time ago can't afford someone's stupid errors like this.
Answers:
Contact the company and go over your agents boss for a full explanation. If you can't get a resolution from them you can contact your state insurance commission about the issue to go and get it resolved.
However they have a right to charge you for the 4 days worth of insurance. When you sign up for auto bill pay you agree to payments and you be notified at least 30 days surrounded by advance of the rate changes, the interrogate is if you ignored the notice or not.
As for 70 bucks for 4 days? That's expensive but depends on where on earth you live. Ask if there was a see fee as that's probably the case. Source(s): Insurance agent 12 years.
