How long does an insurance company own to settle an auto catastrophe claim?

I was in an luck about 5 months ago. I immediately reported the chance to my insurance company that night. I was told that I would most promising be at fault for the accident. Five months following though the insurance company of the other driver involved in the accident have not contacted my insurance company to file a claim. I am not sure if the driver reported the accident and his insurance company in recent times hasn't contacted mine or if he hasn't reported the accident at all however. If we both live in New Hampshire and the accident happen in New Hampshire, how many days does his insurance company own to contact mine? Does the other driver have a certain amount of days surrounded by which he is to report the accident?
